Koh Samed is known as top of the islands in the eastern sea in terms of beauty and population.

 Koh Samed Island and other islands nearby are under the care of Khao Laem Ya-Mu Koh Samed National Park with koh samed as the largest and longest popular for it is near the shore reachable in 20 minutes completed with all kinds of accommodations.

How to get there

Only 3 ½ hours from Bangkok (1 hour from Pattaya.), Not far from you Rayong Baan Phe (busy port and the center of the local marineproduce). It is a stop for tourists on the island of Koh Samet. Transactions of the main stock a wide range of local products such as wet fish, squid, shrimp and dried shrimp paste. 30 minutes by shuttle boat from Baan Phe to Koh Samet, the beautiful beaches with charming white sand and strangely shaped stones, which are likely to relax.

 

 By car.....
From Bangkok take the Highway No. 34 (Bang Na-Trat) or Motorway to Pattaya and use Highway No. 36 to Rayong. Or take Highway No. 34 (Bang Na-Trat) or Motorway to Chonburi and the use of Highway No. 344 (Ban-ing sounds), then turn into Highway No. 331 and No. 36 to Rayong.

 By Bus.....
Rayong is the gateway from the east to the north and northeast. As such, there are many regular bus services connecting Rayong and Bangkok and other provinces such as Chiang Mai, Nakhon Ratchasima and Nong Khai.

Normally, buses run every hour from 5:00 clock to 19:00 clock from Bangkok to Baan Phe public bus, which is located opposite the Nuan Thip Pier (the famous Pier to Koh Samed). You can also contact Nuan Thip Pier telephone at +66 3865 1508, +66 3865 1514, +66 3865 1513, to the ferry schedules. The other ferries are Sri Ban Phe Pier, you can use them at Tel: +66 3865 1902.

 Tourist Office Upon arrival in Koh Samed is a Tourist Information Center at the pier. It is more a travel agent than anything else, where all the tour brochures and accommodation costs. To start with a good map is all you need, and you get better information from hotel or local taxis.

 Alternatively, if you have time, in Rayong is a Regional Tourism Authority of Thailand office in the vicinity of Tapong Fruit Market (30 minutes from the pier in Ban Phe). Do not expect too much, but one danger in better maps and some nice and colorful guide.
